Automaker Peugeot unveiled the E-3008, an electric SUV that utilizes Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform with a fastback design and a range of up to 700 kilometers.

The E-3008 features the iconic three-claw light signature and introduces a high-tech front end with a grille that showcases the vehicle’s electric nature. The car is modernized by LED and Pixel LED headlamps, and a floating spoiler at the rear contributes to the aesthetics and aerodynamics.

The range of electric powertrains offered by the E-3008 includes a 170-kilowatt Long Range 2-wheel drive, a 157-kilowatt 2-wheel drive, and a 240-kilowatt Dual Motor 4-wheel drive.

A 400-volt lithium-ion battery supplies the electric motor for the vehicle’s propulsion, while a 12-volt battery, which is charged by the high-voltage battery through the converter, supplies power to other electrical consumers. DC superchargers can recharge the standard battery range from 20% to 80% in half an hour for the standard range version.

The E-3008 addresses safety with features like automatic emergency braking, active lane departure warning, and driver attention alert. It also features extended semi-autonomous capabilities, such as adaptive cruise control with lane-keeping assist, semi-automatic lane change, and early speed recommendation.

The vehicle’s interior boasts the i-Cockpit, a floating, curved 21-inch HD panoramic screen that combines the head-up display and central touchscreen. The Air Quality System also monitors the cabin’s atmosphere and automatically activates air recycling if necessary.

Regarding sustainability, the E-3008 incorporates over 500 kilograms of green materials, including green steel, aluminum, and recycled plastics.

Peugeot said the E-3008 will be produced in France and expects it to be available in February 2024. The vehicle aligns with Peugeot’s goal of offering a complete EV lineup by 2025.
