Hunter Fan Co. this week announced its acquisition of a rival manufacturer of commercial fans in an effort to bolster its position in the industrial fan market.
The Nashville company, primarily known for its ceiling fans, said the addition of Entrepreneurial Pursuit Inc. — which does business as Jan Fan — would expand its product lineup and provide more solutions for its customers.
Jan Fan, which is headquartered in both Michigan and Ohio, makes fixed and rolling-mount caged fans for commercial and industrial workspaces, including pedestal fans, mounted fans, shop fans, floor fans, and mobile fans.
“Jan Fan’s products are complementary to Hunter’s existing industrial products, and the addition provides significant cross-sell opportunities and a scaled go-to-market solution as we look to be a ‘one-stop-shop’ for our customers,” Hunter Fan CEO John Alexander said in a statement.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
