Google Cloud is collaborating with Mayo Clinic and several healthcare organizations to introduce Enterprise Search in Generative AI App Builder to healthcare. Google Cloud said the development would help researchers and clinicians search for information, improve patient outcomes, and improve clinical workflow efficiency.
Generative AI can review data, condense and digest information, and create new images. These capabilities would help healthcare professionals use information from research papers, medical records, and clinical guidelines for purposes that range from condition definitions to treatment options.
Google Cloud said in a press release that its generative AI offerings would provide healthcare organizations with the ability to create personalized, unique, and real-time interactions. Generative AI tools could also optimize productivity by streamlining administrative processes and automating repetitive tasks.
Mayo Clinic Chief Information Officer Cris Ross said in a statement that Google Cloud’s tools could unlock seeds of information that are difficult to interpret or access, such as complex medical history, imaging, labs, and genomics. Google Cloud also announced that its Enterprise Search on Gen App Builder could support HIPAA compliance.
The partnership builds on Google Cloud’s earlier work with Mayo Clinic’s digital transformation, which included machine learning and programs to leverage analytics.
