EV motorcycle startup Stark Future officially began production and sales in 2023. In 2024, the company reported an expected annual revenue of $93 million. With these successes in the rearview, Stark Future has now pushed forth a new creation: a 3D-printed sword.
The Klinga Sabre, made of 3D-printed titanium, measures in at nearly two feet long, and weighs about 10 ounces. Limited to a quantity of 1,000, each saber is numbered individually. This allows for buyers to take home a piece of the collection with further sentimental value, be it a race number, symbol, or milestone.
The name Klinga derives from the Swedish word meaning ‘blade.’ The name is to reflect precision and craftsmanship with every saber created. This message pairs as a testament toward Stark Future’s community, who have fueled their success over time.
Titanum served as the metal of choice for its light weight and corrosion-resistant properties. But the 3D-printing process provided lessons regarding mass production as challenges mounted. With Stark printing one saber every 80 minutes, sandblasting the handle and polishing the blade for consistency proved difficult under such time constraints.
Nonetheless, in the December auction in which the sabers debuted, bids reached upwards of $2,100. Unsold blades are now being sold on Stark’s website for $350 apiece.
