Automotive components manufacturer Minth Group this month announced an $87 million expansion of its operations in central Tennessee.
The company will add a 236,000-square-foot facility to its current manufacturing campus in Lewisburg, about 60 miles south of Nashville, by the end of next year.
Minth designs and produces structural body, trim, and decorative parts for companies representing about 80% of the global automotive market. The manufacturer has 40 production plants worldwide that support automotive markets in 29 different countries. The new building will support injection-molded, painted, and chrome-plated components, officials said.
Minth expects to create 254 new jobs at the plant over the next three years. The company added Lewisburg to its global operations in 2017 with plans for an initial workforce of 200.
“We are thrilled to be expanding our operations in Lewisburg,” Natalie Chin, Minth’s regional general manager, said in a statement. “This will allow us to better serve our customers and support local communities. We are grateful for the partnership we have with the state and local governments along with TVA and various other entities. We look forward to working together to build prosperity in the area.”
