Leading AI and computing companyNVIDIAis hot in the news this week as Schneider Electric, ETAP, and giant automaker General Motors (GM) are making use of its Omniverse platform in two major industries—AI factory power management and automotive manufacturing.
Schneider Electric, ETAP Digital Twin
Global industry tech company Schneider Electric, and software solutions firm ETAP haveteamed upto create the world’s first digital twin that helps AI factories manage their power use more efficiently.
Powered by NVIDIA Omniverse, this new system can simulate power needs from the grid to thechip level, tracking power distribution, predicting energy consumption, and improving overall efficiency.
General Motors
Meanwhile, GM is also using Omniverse toupgrade its manufacturing plantsand vehicle technology. By creating digital twins of assembly lines, GM can run virtual tests before making physical changes, reducing downtime and improving efficiency.
GM isn’t just using Omniverse to upgrade its factories—it’s also bringing NVIDIA’s AI tech inside its vehicles. NVIDIA DRIVE AGX enables advanced driver-assistance systems and smarter in-cabin smart features designed to make the cars more intuitive and efficient, and improve the overall driving experience.
NVIDIA Omniverse
Omniverse is NVIDIA’s platform for building and running virtual worlds. It allows companies to create detailed digital twins of real-world environments, making it easier to test and optimize systems before making real-world changes.
In AI factories, it helps manage power; in car manufacturing, it improves production. It’s a powerful tool that’s shaping the future of industries worldwide.
