Trailer and truck bed manufacturer ATW this month announced the acquisition of fellow trailer maker BWise in an effort to expand its reach into the northeastern U.S.
ATW, a suburban Dallas company whose brands include Big Tex, PJ Trailers, and Carry-On, said the purchase would also allow its manufacturing and commercial scale to grow the BWise business. BWise produces its flagship brand and Bri-Mar trailers in southern Pennsylvania.
"Our complementary brands, capabilities, and footprints will help us reinforce our mutual commitment to our customers: providing differentiated brands, products, and business services that allow our partners to reach their full potential,” Steve Courreges, who heads ATW’s Pro-Grade business unit, said in a statement.
Brian Wise will lead BWise as it transitions to the Pro-Grade segment, then serve in a "broader strategic role” with the company. Courreges will lead the newly acquired brands.
Wise said ATW would provide BWise with "the resources and expertise to expand on what we’ve built.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
