Solar and storage company Apex Power Conversion and mission-critical equipment maker GTI Energy have announced developments in Arizona.
Establishing HQ, Manufacturing Facility
Apex Power hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its U.S. headquarters and manufacturing site in Mesa, Arizona. The company said the facility would create up to 700 jobs by 2029.
Apex Power will initially use the nearly $60 million, 206,000-square-foot facility for product training and customer engagement. The company plans to expand operations to include the manufacturing of advanced multi-megawatt power conversion systems that connect energy storage and renewables to the grid.
The company expects to manufacture the first full units in the first quarter of next year.
Supporting Grid Expansion
Apex Power said it would access Arizona’s supply chain, workforce, and infrastructure as its project’s advanced inverter systems look to support the state’s clean energy demand and power grid expansion.
$53M Investment
GTI Energy, a manufacturer of containers, skids, and enclosures, intends to invest $53 million to establish a 530,000-square-foot factory in Goodyear, Arizona. Once it becomes fully operational in 2026, the company expects the facility to create up to 600 jobs.
GTI’s plant will handle the full production lifecycle, including raw steel processing, welding, electrical integration, battery installation, and end-of-line testing.
