Cadillac recently unveiled details surrounding the 2026 Cadillac LYRIQ-V, GM’s first all-electric vehicle in the V-series. According to GM, it will be the quickest Cadillac ever made.
LYRIQ-V can go 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, which is quick for a Caddy but still twice as slow as the world record. The fastest accelerating car in the world is the McMurtry Spéirling (spear-ling), a small electric hypercar that goes from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 1.55 seconds. The fastest American-made car is the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170, which goes from 0 to 60 mph in 1.66 seconds.
Cadillac’s LYRIQ-V comes standard with dual-motor all-wheel drive and has 615 hp and some 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque. GM says the vehicle will be made in Tennessee at the company’s Spring Hill Manufacturing factory. Production is slated to start ramping up in early 2025, and the EV will include a mix of components made in the U.S. and sourced globally.
At first, the LYRIQ-V will be sold in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the U.S. GM anticipates other global markets coming online at another date.
The vehicle will have a 285-mile range on a full charge, and the automaker anticipates the MSRP to start at $79,990.
