
Power tool, hand tool, and accessories manufacturer Milwaukee Tool recently opened its largest U.S. factory to date, company officials announced.
Milwaukee Tool to Generate 800+ Jobs
The $60 million, 500,000-square-foot plant in Grenada, Mississippi, is expected to create more than 800 jobs. It will initially produce blades under the company’s Sawzall brand and other accessories before gradually adding more product lines over time.
State-of-the-Art Technology
Milwaukee Tool officials said the plant features state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities and technology and would maintain the company’s trajectory serving both end users and industrial distributors alike.
Milwaukee Tool Invests in Mississippi
The Grenada factory is the company’s eighth location in Mississippi, where it employs more than 4,000 workers. The company said it has now spent more than $250 million on its Mississippi operations in the past five years alone. "Our rapid growth continues to accelerate, and this new facility in Grenada plays a crucial role in maintaining our trajectory of excellence in serving our distributor and user partners,” said company executiveScott Griswold.
Celebrating 100 Years in Business
Milwaukee Tool, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based TTI Group, is marking its 100th anniversary in 2024 and says it has experienced double-digit annual growth for more than 10 years. Its U.S. operations employ more than 10,000 people in total.
