TPC Wire & Cable Corp. announced this week its acquisition of fellow cable manufacturer EZ Form Cable Corp.
The Ohio-based company, a subsidiary of Boston private equity company Audax, called the deal part of an “aggressive growth strategy” that would strengthen its market position.
TPC also produces wire, connectors, assemblies and other components for a wide range of industries, while EZ Form makes radio frequency and microwave interconnect products for the defense, aerospace, medical device and wireless sectors.
“Our combined expertise will enhance our growth strategy, diversify our end markets and allow us to expand our innovative product and service solutions for our customers,” TPC President and CEO Jeff Crane said in a statement.
EZ Form CEO Frank Volpe added that TPC would be “the best steward of the EZ Form business in the years to come.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
