A Twin Cities-based window and door manufacturer hopes to receive up to $1.25 million in incentives from the state of Minnesota for a planned $35 million expansion of its headquarters.
The request from Renewal by Andersen, which plans to double its footprint in the suburb of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, and add 125 jobs over three years, was disclosed in a notice from state officials Monday, according to Minnesota Public Radio.
The company, if it meets those hiring and investment goals, is reportedly eligible for up to $450,000 from the Minnesota Investment Fund, a capital investment rebate of $413,000 and $387,000 from the state’s job creation fund.
Minnesota’s Department of Employment and Economic Development has scheduled a hearing on the project and proposed incentives next month.
The planned expansion, which also allows room for further growth, follows a $45 million project in Cottage Grove and North Branch, Minnesota, which was expected to add 300 jobs.
