A heating products manufacturer plans to expand its Kentucky operations in order to add production and distribution capacity, state officials announced last week.
Wolf Steel, which produces fireplaces, grills, HVAC products, and accessories under the Napoleon brand name, will invest nearly $6 million in Crittenden, Kentucky, about 30 minutes south of Cincinnati. The project is expected to add as many as 30 full-time jobs.
The company makes fireplaces and grills at the Crittenden location and hopes the expansion will help increase its market share.
“We are committed to doubling the size of our business, and our Crittenden facility will play a major role in manufacturing and distributing products to our U.S. customers,” Wolf Steel President Ron McArthur said in the announcement.
The company is eligible for up to $350,000 in tax incentives, approved by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority last week, provided it meets investment and hiring targets. A state program could also help reduce costs for recruitment and job training.
Wolf is marking its 20th year in Crittenden this year; the facility currently employs 83 workers.
