Containment Systems Manufacturer to Open Factory in Tennessee

Southern California containment systems manufacturer S. Bravo Systems, also known as Bravo, announced on Monday it plans to open a second manufacturing facility in western Tennessee.

The company expects to invest $2.8 million in an existing building in Lexington, Tennessee, and create 83 new jobs in the city, located halfway between Memphis and Nashville.

Bravo originally developed the world’s first containment sump and shutdown system for gasoline dispensers, known as the “Bravo Box,” more than 30 years ago. The company currently produces containment systems for the petroleum equipment industry along with fiberglass tanks, fittings, and sumps.

Bravo officials said the company searched for the “ideal location” to serve customers in the eastern U.S. for roughly a decade before deciding on Lexington.

“We were especially pleased to encounter a well-qualified workforce that will make it easy to hire skilled, local employees for Bravo’s operations,” President and CEO Paola Bravo said in a statement issued by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.
