Harley-Davidson has turned the motorcycle from an increasingly popular racing circuit into the most expensive model in the company’s long history.
The Milwaukee motorcycle maker recently unveiled the 2025 CVO Road Glide RR, a limited-edition, high-powered version of its touring bikes.
The CVO RR has an eye-opening price tag of $110,000, Bloomberg reports, but with that cost comes some noteworthy attributes: the model will be the most powerful street motorcycle in Harley’s history, and just 131 of them will be made.
The bike, the report notes, comes with a 131 cubic-inch motor that puts out 153 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque, while its features include sections made from carbon fiber and Kevlar, a lightweight exhaust system, and race-inspired braking components, among others.
The model is based on the Harley bikes raced in the “King of the Baggers” series: a matchup of modified touring motorcycles made by American bike makers Harley and Indian Motorcycle Company — complete with saddlebags, hence the name. The circuit started as a modest, one-time race in Central California but has expanded in both scope and popularity, Bloomberg noted, with 14 races on multiple continents.
The powerful new bike, however, comes amid broader struggles for Harley and the motorcycle industry as a whole: Harley sales have slipped for three consecutive years amid elevated prices and high interest rates.
