Dallas-based industrial technology company SpotSee said this week that it shifted production of a shock and vibration monitor from a facility in the U.K. to its plant in northern Texas.
The company said the ShockLog, which tracks impact events and environmental conditions on structures and equipment, is now manufactured in Graham, Texas, alongside the rest of SpotSee’s product line.
Officials said the move improved both the quality control and cost-effectiveness of its manufacturing operations. SpotSee also hopes consolidating its production in Graham and another plant in Mexico will enable it “to better manage the changing global trade situation.”
“The ability to better scale production and reduce lead time makes us more agile and able to serve our current and future customers,” Dale Glen, the company’s supply chain vice president, said in a statement.
In addition to impact and vibration monitors — primarily used by the industrial, medical and energy sectors — SpotSee also produces tilt indicators, temperature monitors, connectivity systems, and software.
