Aerospace components manufacturer Alpine Aviation Group this week announced plans to establish a new facility in southwestern Missouri.
The Christian County Headliner News reports that the manufacturing center in Ozark, Missouri, will assemble aircraft wiring harnesses. The project is expected to create 39 jobs in the area.
The paper reported that Alpine, which was originally established to produce electrical harnesses for military aircraft, hopes to expand into the commercial aircraft segment. Terry Cedar, the company’s director of aviation electrical manufacturing, said in a statement that Alpine hopes to bring innovation to “not only the aerospace industry but beyond.”
“It is our privilege to have the opportunity to establish a company in the Ozarks,” Cedar said.
Governor Mike Parson called the announcement “a testament to Missouri’s leadership in aerospace manufacturing and innovation.”
