Anheuser-Busch plans to spend more than $300 million on its operations in the U.S. this year, company officials announced.
Adding a New Technical Hub
The company highlighted the expansion of its “Technical Excellence Center” model, both geographically and beyond the company.
A new “Regional Excellence Center” in Columbus, Ohio, will train the brewer’s entire local technical workforce over the next three years.
The new Columbus hub and the original facility in St. Louis, meanwhile, will also be opened to trade school students and educators under a new partnership with the National Association of Manufacturers’ Manufacturing Institute workforce development arm.
Anheuser-Busch officials said that more than 1,200 of its workers have utilized the St. Louis center since 2022.
Digital Credentialing for Service Members
The company will also partner with the Manufacturing Institute to become what it says is the first U.S. manufacturer to adopt a digital credentialing system aimed at those with military experience. Anheuser-Busch officials added that its recruiters would be trained on the new system to ensure that they understand how service members’ skills would translate to manufacturing positions.
Investing "Nationwide”
The Budweiser, Stella Artois, and Cutwater brewer said the overall investment would span its facilities “nationwide,” but additional details and locations were not disclosed in the announcement. The company said it has invested nearly $2 billion across its 100 U.S. facilities over the past five years.
