NVIDIA to Make AI Supercomputers in the U.S.

NVIDIA unveiled plans to design and construct AI supercomputer manufacturing facilities in the U.S. The company announced that it commissioned over 1 million square feet of space to make its AI supercomputers in Texas and Blackwell chips in Arizona.

Creating Hundreds of Thousands of Jobs

NVIDIA described its supercomputers as the engines for a new class of data center designed for artificial intelligence processing. The company added that bringing supercomputer and AI chip manufacturing to the U.S. could create hundreds of thousands of jobs.

Partnerships in Three Cities

Supercomputer manufacturing will take place at facilities in Houston and Dallas through collaborations with Foxconn and Wistron, respectively. NVIDIA expects to scale production at both locations within 12 to 15 months.

TSMC plants in Phoenix have already begun Blackwell chip production. NVIDIA also announced partnerships with semiconductor companies SPIL and Amkor for testing and packaging operations in Arizona.

Building $500B of AI Infrastructure

Through its partnership, the company plans to build up to $500 billion of artificial intelligence infrastructure in the U.S. over the next four years.

NVIDIA said the factories would deploy advanced technologies, including NVIDIA Omniverse to build digital twins of the facilities and NVIDIA Isaac GR00T to develop robots that automate production.
